INSTANT SCAPES – Scenari Instantanei

Instant Scapes (2021–ongoing) è un progetto audiovisivo a forma aperta che può essere letto come una forma di antropologia del quotidiano. Attraverso una successione di video autonomi della durata di 30 secondi, osserva la vita di ogni giorno, i rituali sociali e gli ambienti che abitiamo, trasformando istanti fugaci in un paesaggio percettivo continuo.

Ogni frammento è concepito come una composizione visiva autonoma—un tableau vivant—ma al tempo stesso come parte di un’opera più ampia in continua evoluzione. La durata fissa di trenta secondi stabilisce un impulso temporale costante, invitando lo spettatore a vivere l’attenzione stessa come elemento compositivo. Con l’aggiunta di nuovi frammenti, il progetto si espande in diverse versioni autonome, mantenendo invariata la propria struttura di base.

Concepito come uno studio di possibili musiche per possibili situazioni, Instant Scapes attraversa liberamente elettronica, registrazioni ambientali e miniature strumentali, oltrepassando generi musicali e discipline artistiche. In alcune sezioni il ritmo visivo diventa esso stesso una partitura, generando naturalmente lo sviluppo musicale attraverso tecniche riconducibili al mickey-mousing; in altri, il suono assume una funzione descrittiva, metaforica o contrastante, creando ironia, distanza o astrazione.

Avviato il 3 gennaio 2022 attraverso una pubblicazione periodica online, il progetto si è progressivamente sviluppato oltre il formato originario, dando vita a un corpus di opere in continua espansione, disponibile in versioni di diversa durata, ciascuna autonoma ma parte integrante di un’unica composizione a forma aperta.
